Question the isolation of Japan

How has Japan's geographic position protected it from foreign invaders, and how has this isolation affected the history and culture of Japan?

Hi Hippo,

I am sorry for the late reply. Your question is very complex and sounds a bit like homework or a term paper. ;)

I suggest you browse our history section where you will be able to find a lot of interesting online resources that will hopefully help you further:
