I am looking for someone that lives in the Yamaguchi prefecture, my grandfather grew up there and I am looking for any living relatives that may help me find out what our Kamon or mon is . He was born in the Village of Saga his name is Minosuke Nagaki and was born February 9 1881 . I would appreciate any help that anyone can give me. Quest for crest

Hi William,

there are very few online resources that could be of help. First of all, I was unable to find any info on Saga Village in Yamaguchi. Either that village is very small or it has meanwhile been incorporated into another community or town.

Forgive me the question, but do you speak Japanese? If so we could come up with a few addresses of institutions to contact (Yamaguchi Pref. authorities or genealogical societies). We'll keep you posted as we find more info.

On a side note: there are a lot of Japanese web sites dealing with Japanese family crests, that's pretty interesting...
