Iraq - blood and oil?
Sigh, I always try to resist from being drawn into controversial discussions on other fora, but noticing the gung-ho attitude of some members of that particular forum I succumbed to my anger. The topic was Iraq and these smarty pants fully subscribed to what French protestors call "busheries".
Anyhow, I found the following paper by the WorldWatch Institute. It factually describes alternatives to the war and sheds light onto the historic dimensions of U.S. influence in the Middle East. Read about Rumsfeld's visits to Baghdad in the 80s. Highly recommended reading! Blood and Oil Alternatives to War in Iraq => http://www.globalpolicy.org/security...worldwatch.htm
