"Prease Reave"

Is it alright if I tell a story about my Mother and Aunt in Japan, since I have never been there myself?
This story has been told to me countless times by my Mother and Aunt. and will continue to be told to me.

It was before I was born, ( 1980's) and my mother, father, Aunt Becky ( my mother's sister) and Uncle Peter stopped in Japan on there way back from Indonesia. ( where my Aunt and Uncle were living at the time.)
While my father and uncle were. . I don't know where? My mother and Aunt were in this resturant. at that time, my cousin, Alexis was a baby, and Aunt Becky wanted to warm up some milk for her. She was trying to explain to the waiter about what she wanted. Since she couldn't speak Japansese, and the poor fellow didn't understand very much English, she was trying to tell him that she wanted a pan to heat the bottle in. He brought her a small pan, and she said " No! it's too small." so she sent him back to get another pan. " No!" she said again. " it's not deep enough!" so he went back to the kitchen. " No! it's too big!" she said. this went on and on. Finally, the frustrated man threw down the pan and exclaimed:
" Prease reave!"
So you can see, my aunt was very popular.
I have a few more stories about my mother and aunt in Japan. My aunt would tell you over and over about her adventures in the Ginza, and the $20,000 dress. and the $10 coffee. but I won't bore you. Not that you HAVE to read this!
Thank you!

"WELL BACK IN THE DAY..."
....
Yeah, I guess that could be annoying after awhile. Personally, I think it's funny. I had a uncle that did the same thing. He would rant about being almost killed in Vietnam. Then I had a grandpa that would rant about WWII. Question: Is your grandpa still amoung the living?

Why didnt your aunt just take her own pan? Seems like it would have been alot easier for everybody... how was she going to explain the temperature in which she wanted the milk to be? Oh dear all of these thoughts are going through my mind, the poor waiter!
Did she really think she could be so demanding in another country where there was an absolutely noticeable language barrier? Im sure thats why mothers carry around warmed milk in a thermos? No?
Oh well, just think, from all of your mother and Aunts stories, you know what not to do when you go to Japan.

They make a container which keeps fresh nutritional milk at the proper temperature, ready for serving at all times.

It's called a "breast".

Where do you purchase one of these "breasts"?

You can't purchase them. There are only short-term and long-term lease plans. See your local dealer for details. Offer void where prohibited.

Well Baldir, I guess we all have someone who talks a lot? I have two grandfathers. My mother's father is dead. I was very fond of him! he died when I was less than five years old when I was visiting my aunt Becky in England. He talked all the time! and he was very funny! I love him. but my Father's father is still alive. I'm not really close to him, though. but he does talk, and make jokes. I just don't see him that much.

Kara Nari: I don't know why she didn't take her own pan! She's a scatterbrain type of person. Talks all the time. never makes any sense. her doctor even falls sleep when she's talking to him because she tells her whole lifestory!
