This is another adventure from another time when my Aunt and Mother were in Japan. ( they stopped there back and forth when going and coming from Indonesia.)
My mother and Aunt were waiting in this hotel; waiting for the bus. My mother was bored, so she went into the lobby; where this Japanese man was cleaning the floor. When she entered, he bowed, and said " Ohayo!"
Not understanding what he meant, my mom politely bowed and returned:
" Illinois to you too!" ( Illinois is the state where she lives.)
The poor man obviously didn't understand.
There were some candies in that room, and my mom took one, then left. as she left, the man bowed to her.
A few moments later, my mother returned into the room; the man bowed, my mom bowed, and took another piece of candy. then she left, after an exchange of bows.
A few moments later, she returened again; again the man bowed, again she took some candy, and again she left.
A few moments later. . . well. . . this routine continued until the bus came.
I don't know how many times my mother went back and forth!
She later laughed and said: " That poor man! he probably wanted to hit me with the mop!"
She says that he probably has back problems now, and it's all because of her!
I know. . . Why didn't she just take the whole thing of candy?!
That would be too logical.

Wow, im hoping you never had the pleasure of travelling with your Aunt and Mother... im sorry, but I think I would be a bit embarrassed... next time she goes on holiday maybe you could give her a whole 'family size' bag of candy?
Also be sure to give your Aunt something to warm babies milk in...
Better yet, maybe they could read up on a few things before the next trip?
At least you will be better prepared for future travels
