Almost graduated from high school, need some help.

I'm 17, and plan to eventually move to japan. I'm in high school, a charter school, and I plan to graduate from high school in about december. Then I will get a job to pay for 2 weeks stay in tokyo. Here are my questions.

How do I sign up for that goverment thing so I can study overseas? Will I need toknow the language fluently before I go? Will I need to study in colleage in america before I go?
How much will I need? I plan to buy some electronics and japanese candy (pockey, etc)
Where can I find candy in japan? (remember I'm going to stay there 2 weeks before I move there)

It's www.workatjapan.com or something. I heard it was a goverment site. Why is ita hassle to be obese in japan? If I lievd there and had to walk everywhere, I'd probably lose alot of weight, considering I am obese. But I still want to try japanse candy

Please just calm yourself down a bit. Doing a little searching in the forums wont hurt you that much. I bet theres alot of info in this forums that can answer your question. such as hiroshi66 question about student life in japan. read it and im sure it should answer some of you question. if not do more searching. you should be able to find it.

It's not help from the web site I am looking for. It's help understanding the goverment program (Let me try and find the japanese name for goverment program). Kind of like a student exchange program to study overseas. Here's the site. It seems quite complicated and difficult to get accepted to study abroad. Those wishing to apply for a scholarship should meet one of the criteria listed below:
1. Recommended by a Japanese embassy or consulate general (Embassy Recommendation).
2. Recommended by the Japanese university which will accept you (University Recommendation).
3. Recommended by the Japanese university in which you are currently enrolled if you are a privately-financed student already studying in Japan (Domestic Selection).

Yes. That's what someone was telliing me to do. Hiroshi66 was doing something else. I might want to do what hes doing. Although I'm clueless. I just want to go to japan and get a degree there, (Would it count if I used that degree in the US?) Or should I get a degree in the US?

Read the site and post i posted before, but if you're really interested or even partly-interested, i suggest you go to the nearest japanese consulate or embassy and ask them directly. Since I dont think most of us have any experience with that program. Or if someone does they probably will answer your question later. Or just go to the embassy and ask them. save more time and more accurate answer.

I think those governement study things are not going to help you get a degree in Japan...
But why go to Japan to get a degree, especially if you're not fluent? You only make it harder to get the degree, to support your living there, to understand your subject, and just to live there. Why not just get the degree in your own home country, then go and do whatever you wanted?
Trust me, go to college in your home country (if not in your home state, then another state), and you'll open up a lot more opportunity to do what you want to do in Japan (while in college and after college).
