Help! Can a JP Lender lend in the US?

I'd like to know if anyone knows if there exists any Japanese Mortgage lenders or Banks that will lend on propertys in the US?

U.S. private equity firm Lone Star bought the bank from the Japanese government for $339 million. Links with U.S., maybe will be with mortgage also?

Probably not, or everyone in the US would take care of the really low interst rates in Japan.
