Imperial court dress is based off Chinese court dress and dates from the Heian period (794 - 1185). Other than a nice point of comparison, is there a point you wanted to make 4321go?

This is a nice little video i found of 2 assistants dressing a young lady in a Heian period 12 layer kimono if anyones interested- must be very hot to wear those kimonos, there are even some reports that some nobles wore as many as 24 layers of kimono

scrolling back and forth, the headdress looks similar, and they're both wearing robes. I can see the influence but they aren't overwhelmingly similar.

Where are these photos from? they obviously aren't from the Meiji and Qin eras, though the clothing might be accurately recreated.
