Sentimental, the Midori no Hibi opening is great, and my pace or what it's called, genshikens opening theme. The best Naruto theme is without doubts Haruka Kanata.

Cowboy Bebop definately had one of the best openings of any show I've seen. Well designed and went with the music perfectly. Most other shows seem to just tape cutscenes together and work more like a music video than a real opener for the show. Bebop was original and well-designed, and worked well with the theme of the story as well as the soundtrack. Samurai Champloo was done by the same people, I believe, and follows in the same vein, but reversed the anachronisms found in bebop, and although I think it was an alright show, I don't think it did as good a job as the original.

Well, the opening to Excel Saga with it's awesomely goofy theme song, "Ai (Chuuseishin)" by The Excel Girls may not be the best in anime, but, for my money, it was damn sure the funniest by light years!

The 3 openings I have heard for Bleach so far has to be the best... Especially High And Mighty Color - Ichirin no Hana

Risin Fighting spirit from Naruto is also very cool, though not an opening

"The Legend of Black Heaven" (Kachou Ouji)

That's still my favorite anime to date--although I haven't had a chance to see to much of Samurai Champloo yet, and suspect that one might be able to surpass it.

It's a shame it was marketed so poorly. Just about every review or synopsis I've ever seen for Black Heaven focuses on the (admittedly lame sounding) plot, without mentioning the deeper subtext that the show is actually about:

An artist's struggle to survive in a world that has no place for him.

Sadly, most people only hear the words: "Hard Rock Saves The Space?" and start running the other way...
