Why doesn't anyone speak japanese here?

I realize this is the learning english section, but it sounds more like a chit chat section. "What is the most beautiful word?" Huh? That isn't english learning.

Also, no one here seems to want to learn english because they are posting not posting in japanese. Therefore, most people tha tpost here probably already know japanese. I also hear there is very few japanese people on this forum. I wonder why??

I really hope that Nagashima-san would want to learn english, but he uses a translator.

Maybe because this seems to be a primarily english speaking board, those who aren't proficient in english don't post here yet since it can be intimidating to post with so many people who speak english so fluently? Would you post on a board that was 100% japanese?

And the "What is the most beautiful word?" thread could be english learning, because it could posssibly expose people to new words.

If other people are learning English, maybe they wish not to post in Japanese so that there typing, spelling, language, and reading skills can become better. So that helps them learn English.
