World History in Japan's high schools
Ok, hope I get this right. It's kinda late here atm. If something is unclear.. do ask.
![]() Well, I decided to take the exams for a full university scholarship, so I can go to Japan to study (and check on all the goodies, lol) The subjects are English, Maths and World History. English and Maths are quite easy, but World History ain't got nothing to do with the things we are studying here, in Bulgaria. I mean.. yeah, Babylon, The Roman Empire, WW I and II, we know this.. But! The leader of the White Lilly rebellion or the kind?! What the heck is that?! Well, my request is.. if there is -anyone- willing to do it.. can someone post me the conspect of the World History studied in Japan's high schools. The content of the textbooks is enough, I can find the rest on the net. I thank all of you in advance! I'll be forever grateful

I don't think the exam for your scholarship is the same as the Japanese ones, but Tokyo Uni World History and you can find other exams for other schools this year as well. |

Thanks, pipo. Now I just need to translate all of this into some good old European language, preferably English. ^^

Good morning crowday san, and welcome to the forum !! I hope you stick around, and regardless of the outcome of your efforts to get into a university in Japan, share and learn with all of us here at Jref.
I'll see if my son would be willing to help out a little, he's a highschool student and he can just put the basics directly into English--if he's into doing, though. I'll check, and let's see what happens. Please give me some time to get back with you. There are some others on the forum who are much better at reading the Chinese characters than I who may offer a hand there as well. Again, nice to have you with us, and hope to see you around !! |

Really sure that you're going to take the exam, "World History"?
Isn't it Japan and the World?

To clear things out:
I'm after the Monbusho scholarship ( http://www.studyjapan.go.jp/en/toj/toj0302e.html ), aiming for the "English + Maths + World History" exam. Damn, I can't find the right page atm! I've had a look upon the exams from previous years and there were questions ranging from Babylon to the Cold War with quite an accent on the events in Asia (something I'm not familiar with, excluding history of Russia ^_^) Anyway, I wanna thank both of you for the warm welcome and I'll try to stay around and post whenever I have the time.
