recently read an article on pachinko that claimed it was created in the US, originally.....but another friend in Japan believes it was actually made in Britain, because he found pachinko-like machines that were designed and built in Britain in the late 1800's from an antique shop...so my question is....where did pachinko originate from?
anybody know?

I found a book stating that pachinko machines were first introduced in Nagoya in 1948. This page mentions Nagoya in 1946 => http://toyotec.topica.ne.jp/misc/history/rekisi2.htm
