How possible is to find a job as Computer engineer in Japan?

Hi folks!
Any opinions of what is the possibility to find out a job as a computer engineer in Japan?
Some more info:
1. I'm from Bulgaria, 26 years of age.
2. Graduated in "Computer science" , bachelor degree in University of Sofia.
3. Graduated in "Business communications and Public Relations", master degree.
4. Almost 4 years practice as a system administrator.
5. Don't know japanese at all
6. English is fine
As you may know Bulgaria is waiting to become a member of EU in the beginning of 2008.
Do you think this can make things easier for bulgarians to work in Japan?
Also I have read anywhere that nowadays japanese women prefer european men for relationships, what about the japanese men?
Thanks

Not knowing any Japanese limits it a bit, but there is a demand for people with your experience. Have a look around for Japanese recruitment companies and career websites, and see if theres anything that applies to you.

Hum... as far as I know not knowing japanese at all won't allow you to find a job easily in Japan...
You might try american companies based in Japan but lately, they seem to prefer people from India and China. So Unless you have really outstanding qualifications...
Also I'm not sure if Japanese women/men really do prefer european men/woman. My female friend (American) who's in Japan always complains how japanese men are shy and run off when she tries to engage a conversation.

Thanks and...

this is really good idea to look for such kind of companies, but any suggestions for a search criteria?
I have a friend of mine who is working in Tokyo for 5-6 years , he is bulgarian, but he graduated in US, so from there they offered him a few jobs - some in US, some in Japan, and he preferred Japan, at the beginning he didn't know japanese too but now he told me he is good in speaking, which for him seems enough by now

I'd say you need luck as well. Try lookin around in Bulgaria for foreign division of some japanese companies, try getting a job there either as a full-time engineer or on a try-out basis (dunno what it's officially called). If you're lucky they might offer you a position somewhere in Japan (I've read about such cases on www.japan.com I think).

plenty of hostess clubs full of foreign women? so i would think it'd be even more so (as far as japanese men being attracted to foreign women)
learning the japanese language is the first step imo/ime - as people have already posted (and original poster knows as well)

NETKOJI, thanks for the idea, I'll check out the link you gave me!
At a first thought for japanese companies in Bulgaria I remember the companies like Toyota, Nissan etc
But I'll try to find out more, it will be easier to me than searching for american companies in Japan ;) and seems to me a bit possible also.
Thanks,
Regards, Ashanti

How would you rate Toyota?

I think they are the best japanese car company. And I suppose it is good working for them.
