Scholarships for study in Japan

Are there any other scholarships for studying in Japan besides Monbusho, JASSO, Fulbright, Freeman-Asia, NSEP and Bridging scholarships?

You listed all of the major ones I know of, but I came across this one a while back. Looks like a nice scholarship but there are a lot of legal limitations (only for US citizens pursuing their first bachelors, etc)

It also depends on what you're studying.

Here is a special one for studying Japanese language at an advanced level.

yeah I guess those are all the big ones. I did once hear from a buddy of a scholarship that pays about twice Monbusho, 320,000 a month for PhD students. I wish I knew more about that scholarship...

But thanks for your help! I guess while I'm posting here I will ask you guys one more question. Is there any better scholarship than Monbusho? I have come across a few good ones before but none as good as Monbusho (tuition, airfare, exam expenses, and monthly stipend).

I heard that a school called IUJ http://www.iuj.ac.jp/ has it's own monbusho type scholarship, but better.

I checked out their scholarships but none were as good as Monbusho in monthly stipend and most only partially covered tuition expense which Monbusho fully covers

I have a friend from Cambodia who is a JDS fellow. Japan Development Scholarship. Apparently it is only open to people from developing countries, but I haven't checked the details.

Hmm this actually applies to me perfectly! Thanks for posting this link, N.G.

ed: That said... probably the entire remainder of statements concerning that scholarship don't apply to me all that much... ah well... I was a bit hasty.
