1- The fool is on the way
大愚 2- i am heaven and hell 絶対矛盾的自己同一 3- there is no religion higher than truth 絶対無 4- i believe to the trasformation non to the death 輪廻 or 輪廻転生 This is my opinion, though I don't know the context in which 4 words are used. |

In my opinion there isn't really such a thing as a perfect translation. If there is, it's not the norm. Anyway, how accurate do you expect this to be if you're using a language you don't have confidence in as a means to ask for a translation? You'd be a lot better off asking in Italian (assuming that's your first language) to someone who knows Italian and Japanese.

I think there must be some Italian translations of prof. Kitaro Nishida's works.
So read them or it is lucky if you have something like "Nishida's philosophy for dummies" italiano. I practiced in Karate under my master who has closely realted to a big Zen temple and listened to a lot of zen stories. I actually prefered the practice to the stories then, though... Even after I read the Japanese version of "for dummies", it is impossible to understand his idea. I hope I can do it before I die. |

Just finiding words that translate by themselves and stringing them together will get you a bunch of garbled words. If you want it to be readable and actually have feeling, try looking for a Japanese phrase (kotowaza) that conveys the message you are looking for.
and again, please think long and hard about what you are doing when you put a tattoo you can't read on your body. It's like making a joke out of yourself everytime you go out into public. |

The phrase, "There is no religion higher than truth" is the motto of the Theosophical Society (I am a member), which has a Japanese branch. Check their webpage, or contact them, for their translation.
http://www.theosophyjp.org/ I am sure that they will answer e-mail in English.

Not that I'm endorsing the idea of a tattoo, but if what you want is kanji to give the most concise translation, why not at least get them in Chinese ?
A lot of these don't even make sense to me as Japanese particularly not for the meaning you're intending and seem convinced to have found.

安本丹->it means the fool, but no Japanese use the characters now. 途中->it means "on the way". How about 求道者(gudousha/kyudousha): a seeker after truth? I think this is more neutral word, or a bit more religion-free word, you can even use a gudousha di calcio.
I tried finding Prof. Nishida's idea in Italiano, but many sites in Japanese or English, and I don't know your language or I cannot explain it in English. How about Chinese philosophers like Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu? C'est interessant, sorry I don't know Italiano. When you want a bit Japanese flavor, I can give you some Japanese translations for their ideas. |

You can't just find random words that you think translate to your own language string them together and hope to have something intelligable.
I'll tell you this, straight up, by putting scores of Kanji on your body, you'll be joining a less than elite cadre of complete and utter idiots... If you want to anounce that the fool is on the way, get these kanji tattooed on you... period.

i don't know whether the translation make sense or not..
but i'll give it a try.. hope can be a help.. 1. the fool is on the way - 愚か者は方法にある 2. i am heaven and hell - 天及び地獄である 3. there is no religion higher than truth - 宗教が真実より高くない 4. i believe to the trasformation non to the death - 死に変形に非信じる i don't know any idioms.. it's just a literal translation.

10!! 4 all!!!
i have abandoned the idea of kanji tattoo characters!! too much complicated!! Pipokun, all the religions orbit around ONE truth!! This truth it has been understood from many "philosophers", Lao-Tse, Buddha, Jesus Christ, Mos...and others,IMHO the religions are a fencing. Move out and open your eyes!

I just remember posting a transltion in other forum before.
A. Inoki is a famous Japanese Muslim, ex-professional wrestler, and ex-Upper House member, and etc. The poem itself except the part, "Vamos(Allez-y)!!! 1, 2, 3, Dah!", was originally from a Zen monk, Ikkyu. Change the word, Michi (road) to truth, tao, or whatever you believe.
