I made a thread on this before but no one responded T.T
Anyway...80s J-pop singers I like...Nakamori Akina (I really like her deep voice), Wink, Moritaka Chisato, Okada Yukiko *snif*, Kikuchi Momoko, etc.

doinkies even has the final lines of Moritaka Chisato's song "Watarase-bashi" in my sig (though that's technically an early 90s song, but oh well )

Well, great majority of Jref resident J-rock fans are teenieboppers probably not familiar with Japan's 1980's pop music scene.

Hehe ... I finally met someone share same likes in Akina Nakamori here.

I know about 80's pop, but I don't like it at all...
Stuff like Honda Minako, Nito Yuko, Banana, Wink, Pumpkin and even Mari Hamada (how did she change from heavy metal to that...) but that's not my style, hahaha.

See you later!!

**Edit: I askd a friend and he told me that song wasn't released before she jumped from the building... if you want the banned song, let me know! because I need the translation of it ^^

J-Pop existed in the 80's???
Haha, kidding. I could be a fan of 80's J-Pop, but I wouldn't know what bands to look into, or even where to find music that old. The only places I can get music are iTunes and YesAsia, and neither have anything older than the late 1990's I bet.

Did you know that Morning Musume existed in the 80's? Here's a vid of their 80's hit Pepper Keibu.

Are you sure???
The original was a hit by the Pink Lady in the 1970's. From what I read, Morning Musume released a cover version of it only this year or so.

Pink Lady when the song was a hit (1977):

Pink Lady singing the hit again in 2004--still so young!!

This song has a cello background similar to that Coldplay song-- Vida la nantoka.
