A topic just for sakurai, not for buck tick.

Who here like of this beauty vocalist? I want to know much things about him!

I don't know much about him... Just that he was the singer in Buck-tick and that kyo from dir en grey admires him.

But here is some info i found:
Atsushi Sakurai (櫻井敦司, Sakurai Atsushi), vocalist for the Japanese rock band Buck-Tick since 1985. Born in Fujioka, Gunma Prefecture. He also was a member of Schwein with Hisashi Imai, Sascha Konietzko (KMFDM) and Raymond Watts (also known as PIG). In 2004, Atsushi Sakurai released his first solo album, 愛の惑星 (Planet of Love), which featured tracks written by musicians such as Wayne Hussey of The Sisters of Mercy and the Mission UK, Jim Thirwell (foetus), CUBE JUICE, My Way My Love, Ray Watts, Cloudchair (Jake of Guniw Tools), Masami Tsuchiya, and the remake of a 1992 collaboration with Clan of Xymox. 2004 also saw his acting debut, performing the starring role in Ryuhei Kitamura's short film Longinus. He released a book of his poetry and lyrics called 夜想(Nocturne) in 2004.
Born: March 7th 1966.
Blood type: O.
Status: married in 1991 to Buck-Tick stylist Sayuri Watanabe, divorced; remarried in June 2004.

god I LOVE his voice..so special and unique..well that's my opinion..hm..

I only like a few songs.. I need to listen to more of their music though! A lot of the Buck-tick songs just didn't suit his voice I think.. Songs like 'taiji' more..

I don't know much about him personally but I agree with Python, he has a great voice and he is so COOOOOL!!!!!!!! The way he moves and acts on stage is incredible, he really knows how to work the crowd.

I was just watching for the first time the other day some B-T lives on youtube, and a friend has sent me a bunch of their songs

and I discovered I really like his voice. It's all smooth and like mmmm....

I know him very well .
I'm a big fan of Buck-Tick and also of Atsushi Sakurai's
solo stuff.
He is cute as hell and he doesn't seem to age at all.

He is some type of God! And yes, he does age very well

It doesn't seem fair that BUCK-TICK and Sakurai-Sama get so little recognision(or how ever you spell that), they are famous but not that popular for some reason...

Young people suck ;P haha no but seriously, we can't forget the older bands like Buck-tick and X since they have inspired so many of the younger bands today and they did get inspired for a reason.
Too bad that Buck-Tick don't tour outside of Japan...

Atsu has to be one of the most attractive men in the world - how on earth he can be overlooked here is astounding when he can give the whippersnappers a run for their money. Life doesn't end at 25, kids! He has definitely got one of the most haunting voices I have ever heard...

hello there! Im new here & when I read this Atsu thread I couldnt resist...
I deeply, passionatelly & honestly believe that there is no equal to Atsushi Sakurai, his haunting voice, his enchanting appearance on the stage and his breathtaking beauty. To me he is beyond reality, an ageless elf-kind creature and yet so dark, so interesting, so...promising...He is divine!
