Comedy and Politics

'Knock' Yokoyama became Osaka Governor, Yukio Aoshima became Tokyo Governor and now today popular comic and entertainer Sonomanma Higashi has become Miyazaki Governer. What is it about ex comedians that makes them run for office?

I find it particularly strange as the usual trend is not for comedians to become politicians but for politicians to appear like comedians....

My bet is that he'll have to quit mid-term for "unethical sexual encounter with a juvenile" again!!

Abe dismisses concerns over LDP defeat in Miyazaki election
