I think it would probably be easier to advertise on say, craigstlist than here... I know that there are other people residing in the UK, but I think you'll get better responses if you a) tell people what your influences are... This is the general practice w/ people starting a band looking for members... Generally, members of a band want to share the same influences, and b) posting your request for members on a broader forum base...

...I don't even know what part of England you are from so, it's a pretty big place, you might narrow down your advertisement for band mates to a local area.

Here's a start...

You could always learn each instrument yourself and recompile the tracks digitally.. that way you come off way cooler in your bio.

I know of a few people who have done this... not personally... but, Billy Corgan played most of the instruments except for some lead guitar by James Iha, on Siamese Dream, and the enitety of the first album by Ultra Vivid Scene was recorded by one person, and The Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl, ex Nirvana) entirely recorded the band's (at the time it really wasn't a 'band' per say) first album.

Yes, not that easy unless you're some sort of music emprisario... Better to get a few mates and bang around until you get good at it.
