Fun & Games in Yokosuka

"Intercourse & Intoxication" are still big business in the Honcho. It appears that "intercultural relations" have, if anything, deteriorated since my time(s) in Yokosuka. The following article from the Stars & Stripes (Pacific edition) shows that the sex trade is no longer confined to some of the bars. I don't recall ever seeing even one massage parlor in the Honcho while I was stationed in Yokosuka. Yes, there was a "love hotel", but that's not the same thing. By the way, the sailor quoted at the end of the article is not a typical sailor.

As for the intoxication part, there is a post at the following URL that describes the situation. I'm sure the situation has not improved in the little over a year since the post appeared. The relevant post is about two thirds of the way down the page. The title of the thread is U.S. sailor held for allegedly snatching woman's bag in Sasebo and the title of the post is Hold on a second. Colonel Mustard's text begins "Ifm going to have to interject here."

Please educate people that cross-clutural or intercultural relation oriented people do not usually stab women.
It was a joke that the room where the young guy stabbed women was where a middle aged soldier with a teenage girlfriend rented. Please apply the Megan or Jessica's law to the guy in the US.
