Will the DPJ call for elections?

Japan Opposition Calls for Elections

That's what I read in the New York Times.

I love to know: Do most of the Japanese want the DPJ in the next government?
Do the Japanese have faith in the Democratic Party of Japan?

In my eyes this would be great, but then I am not Japanese and don't live in Japan.
So I feel that I have nothing to say, but a lot to learn fom you!

I am not Japanese nor do I live in Japan but I do have a vested interest in its economy.
If Mr Abe, the Prime Minister does accept the oppositions call for elections and does go to the polls, who knows what could happen?
Either no change in Government or a new party in power.
