I wasn't aware Japanes military was creating a Missile Shield. In concert with the United States military of course. Seems to be United States technology.

Japanese Ship Downs Missile in Pacific Test

A Japanese Navy destroyer shot down a ballistic missile on Monday in a test about 100 miles over the Pacific, a first for a United States ally.

The test involved a shipboard detection and tracking tool called Aegis, built by Lockheed Martin, and the Standard Missile-3 interceptor, produced by Raytheon. The medium-range target missile was launched from an American range on Kauai, Hawaii. About three minutes later, the SM-3 intercepted it about 100 miles above the Pacific, a joint United States-Japanese announcement said.

North Korea is becoming less and less of a threat.

Half the North Koreans are starving. They know they must change.

Slowly South-Korea and North-Korea will become economically involved more and more.

North-Korea has cheap labor, and natural resources.

South-Korea is a very High-Technology country, and also builds Oil-Platforms and large complex ships (I saw this on TV).

p.s: The abduction issue is a very emotional issue. Every country in the world would be very very angry about this. Especially the kidnapping/abduction of young women. What could be worse than that. One was just a teenager.

Japan should not rely on US technology. They can't even protect their country from commercial airliners better yet catch that person who was behind it.

Let's not confuse a failure in foreign policy with technological shortcomings. America develops some of the most advanced military hardware in the world, whether it actually benefits anyone other than the R&D groups is another matter.

The fact that North-Korea launched a missile over Japan. And that North-Korea has developed several nuclear bombs.

That is the main threat. Who else threatens Japan with missiles that carry a Nuclear Warhead ?

p.s: I would be glad that Japan would n-o-t use the American military. Saves me, an American taxpayer some of my money !

But Kim Jong ILL and his associates do not care own people. The most important thing for them is to keep his regime. Kim is very afraid that he must be killed by own people like ex-Romanian dictator Ceausescu. Kim knows if he open the country, his & his family's history will prove fake, and killed.

So they cannot change and do not want to change.

And depending Japanese financial assitance. But because of abduction issue, Japan will not grant any help relating to NK. And abduction issue will not be solved as far as NK remains as NK. So Nothing change.

Yes, that's why SK need to import a lot from Japan in order to make better products. Please check inside of Korean products - all key parts are Japanese.

I know in Australia, South Korean cars are well reputed here for reliability and the JP brands have a difficult time matching the buck.

I wonder if Korean cars will dominate the JP car market in the future due to better pricing?

Yes. You learned a lot. So Japanese sanction agasint NK is the most painful to them.

It is just a matter of question when NK dry outs. Just watching them is more than enough.
