UFO
I am happy to see Japan now acknowleging UFOs. UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Nobutaka Machimura’s said in a press conference that there are great possibilities that there are UFOs. It's official. Japan's government does not deny UFOs. The Mexican millitary have released a UFO footage. The Mexican government and millitary has called US to release information about UFOs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDOOZ...eature=related CNN report UFO conference 12 november 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYkf4...eature=related UFO - Filmed by english photographer. This is from Discovery Channel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3wAf...eature=related I have never seen UFOs but Im quite interested in this topic. I tend to lean towards the conspiracy theorists here. I dont like the term conspiracy because it often is a label which dismisses the actual debate. I find it very interesting that there now are countries and governments around the world who no longer believe that UFO is a conspiracy theory. Why do I believe in UFOs? Mainly because I have seen footage on TV, seen photos. There are many people now who openly have stated in public that they have seen UFOs. People who have worked in the air force, pilots people in the government have stated that they believe in UFOs. Critics of UFOs usually say. But dont you know how far it is from this planet to an another galaxy? To that answer I have to say, yes I agree. It would be far to say fly from the earth to an another galaxy but what I want to believe is that these aliens have found a route that we huans arenot aware of yet. The eart goes around an axis just like every other planet, sun, star in outer space. Maybe they have calculated that on this day and on this month it will be easy to get to the earth. Another interesting question, one that is very hard to prove, and impossible to deny.
I personally believe that extragalactic life exists, after all, bloody hell, the theory of panspermia is just as valid as any other. |

UFOs certainly exist in one sense. When someone sees something in the sky that they can't identify, by definition that's a UFO.
I also think it's probable that there's life elsewhere in the universe, just because "Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is" ![]() As to whether aliens have visited us, I apply the same principle to that as I do in any situation we can't be certain about: Occam's razor. I take the view that those who believe they've seen aliens are mistaken, just because that doesn't require us to conjure up any entities whose existence can't be proven conclusively. I've seen two UFOs, at least they were UFOs for the few seconds before I identified what they really were ![]() The first I saw was when I was in the car on a rainy night. I saw a line of bright orange lights, flickering and hovering in the sky just to my right. For a few seconds I thought they were in the sky anyway, until I realised it was just the streetlights reflecting strangely in the raindrops on my windscreen! The second was while travelling along the motorway on a very bright sunny day without a cloud in the sky. I saw a very bright silver ovoid object hovering absolutely still. It seemed to be only a few metres off the ground, maybe a mile away to my left. I was quite unnerved as it looked just like so many of the UFO descriptions that you hear. But as we moved along, my perspective on the object changed and I realised it was just a helicopter! We had been travelling at such an angle to it that the glare from the sun made all details indistinct, so that all I could make out was the basic shape of it. I think many UFO sitings are similar to mine, except that those individuals didn't realise what it was they were really seeing. |

Well yeah, I have to agree with Tsuyoiko. If those chaps can travel between galaxies, how much is the likeliness of being seen by us, who can barely travel between oceans.

I don't believe in these stories at all. They are just created by the fiction movie makers just to provide entertainment to the people.

Without warning, the orange UFO swooped toward them. The crew of the RAF Vulcan bomber banked hard and radioed they were being chased across the Atlantic by a large mysterious object. The incident was classified as a UFO sighting and the details were immediately locked away.
Now, 30 years later, the extraordinary encounter is among thousands of previously secret cases contained in the government's 'X-Files' that officials are to release in their entirety The cases, many from a little-known defence intelligence branch tasked with investigating UFO claims, will be published by the Ministry of Defence to counter what officials say is 'the maze of rumour and frequently ill-informed speculation' surrounding Whitehall and its alleged involvement with Unidentifed Flying Objects. The public opening of the MoD archive will expose the once highly classified work of the intelligence branch DI55, whose mission was to investigate UFO reports and whose existence was denied by the government until recently. Reports into about 7,000 UFO sightings investigated by defence officials - every single claim lodged over the past 30 years - are included in the files, whose staged release will begin in spring. http://www.guardian.co.uk/military/s...236076,00.html So we have the Japanese now the UK government coming to terms with UFOs. ![]() ![]() The flip side might be that once the fake war on terror comes to a hault the various governments might come with a new war. The war on Aliens thus legitimizing to strip our liberties even more than now. |
