Hello. I myself didn't go there, but one of my friends did yesterday and she said she'd had a wonderful time!
Did anyone on this board go?

Coldplay sang a song in Japanese!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaRpIW7B160

<edit> I'm having a hard time translating as he makes a few mistakes. It's only a short song if anyone would like to help out, thanks! 世界にひとつだけの花 is the name I think ('Just one flower in the World'?)

Wow, thanks for posting this link. Respect to Coldplay for trying to sing a Japanese song.

The song was written by Makihara, a famous singer/song writer in Japan (he wrote a lot of songs for Spam... I mean Smap as well) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noriyuki_Makihara

I would love to go to a concert like this in the future, when I've got more time, and more friends in Japan.

Most welcome, Dutch, glad you enjoyed it! And many thanks for the info, I've now been able to enjoy SMAP's version on Youtube, and found another one with an English translation of the lyrics (which is lucky as I was way off!!)

Perhaps I'll post this in the translation section if no one can help me here, but I'm really interested to know what a good translation of the song title is. I found one I quite liked, on Wikipedia of all places, 'A Flower Unlike Any Other in the World'.

Also, there's a bit in the video where Chris seems to sing about Osaka - can anyone please tell me what it is, if they can catch it?

A couple more vids. The first one's the wonderful song 'Lovers in Japan' - anyone heard it before?

The second's the same song live at the BBC in June, posted only because you can spot the back of my head (if you know what the back of my head looks like lol).
