Demo against militarism

On June 16th, a demonstration against militarism took place in Tokyo, with reportedly 60.000 people participating.

"...60,000 people marched against militarism by Japan on June 16. But you wouldn't know it by looking at the mainstream media. Most of the media was entirely silent..."

Hm, I wasn't able to find any hint on that event.

Please read more at Paul Arenson's web site TokyoProgressive.

Why would this not get very much publicity?

60k people is a good size movement.

Hehe, I apologize for my sarcasm, but in times of global polarization and "war against terrorism" critical anti-estblishmentarian voices are not too popular. Main stream press is reluctant to pick up such topics.

Or were the uryokudan inolved? If so, they don't make news that much like they used to do in the 70's. Besides, they're noise polution.
