Thumbs up Poll:Scariest Video Game

I scare easily so it is best I keep the light on when I play.
I've been a Biohazard fan for over 5 years and enjoyed buying and completing all those thus far. Inbetween I went out and bought similar games like Silent Hill,Dino Crisis and Alone in the Dark. My favourite character from Biohazard is Albert Wesker. He is mysterious and very villain like. The complex storylines and action really draws you in and the evolution of video gaming makes it even more worth the wait for the next in the series. Silent Hill scares you because your all alone and you cannot see much because there is very little light. Strange things happen and there are all these monsters wandering around. In the first Silent Hill you had to search for the missing daughter of Harry Mason. The third in the series tied in nicely with the first while Silent Hill 2 was just "something else" and this man called James Sunderland had to look for his wife. However,I believe it was the best of 1-3.
Please take the time to vote for the scariest video game of your choice!;)

Hi Tears for Fears!

First of all, I love your nickname, because I love Tears for Fears as well. I'm a big 80's junkie!

Anyway, I added Quake to your poll because that scared me. I know some people might laugh at that, but all of them scared me. I think Quake II in particular. I tend to stay away(subconsciously) from the scary games(maybe it's part of being a girl?), but of the ones I have played, the Quake games seem to scare me the most. I have played a few that are on your poll, including Resident Evil--which I played a lot--but for some reason, the Quakes do it for me...

alien vs predator 2.
when you see the batteries of your lamp going down, you hear teammates shouting "thats crazy, he wont make it, get out of there!". you see little dots of your movement sensor. then they vanish suddenly. suddenly a pipe in a wall explodes and in reaction you shoot in that direction, though you have little money.

I love the horror genre but I'm such a wuss when it comes to playing videogames that are scary. I want to but I just freak out too easily. The scariest that I kinda played but sat through the whole thing at least was Fatal Frame. My friend did the controlling most of the time, but I got to once in awhile. It was funny seeing her scream and freak out though, cause she was one of the toughest girls I've known!
Can't wait to try Fatal Frame 2! (Hopefully I'll manage to make myself play through all of it or at least get my bro to play with me for once ><)

The Marine level on Aliens Vs Predator 2 played in the dark while wearing headphones is a very scary and atmospheric experience. I really liked that game!!

other than that only one game really sticks in my head as a scary game...and that was Darkseed on the Amiga and PC.. i remember getting well into that game and getting spooked by the H.R. Geiger visuals.

I just bought fatal frame so I'm about to see. Clocktower is scary. I had to play with friends but now I can handle him. Resident evil is scary but then gets repetitive. After awhile with all the chasing you just get pissed not scared. Silent hill freaky noises and no light that makes it superscary and it was twisted.

I just started playing Fatal Frame 2... so far, it's not that bad.
(I just have to play it during the day with all the lights on)

Yeah, you get to see scared little girls running around.....and use a camera as deadly weapon.. It's all good.

I never played the first one though...so I can't really compare the two.

Silent Hill 3 looks really good. I've read most of the plot, and I'm not sure I'll have the guts to play through it. I've started the other two Silent Hill's, but never got that far...
Fatal Frame 2 looks very, very good. The first Fatal Frame is really good, but I hated the ending. I heard there's a different ending for the XBox version though, so I'll have to check that out sometime...

Siren(Forbidden Siren) check out scea to see the trailer for this game. Looks pretty promising cause the people from Silent Hill series worked on it. I think the first out of two trailer is the one that got pulled from T.V. Check it out!

oh man! no one voted for silent hill!!!! scandalous!! ....the scariest moment when playing that game was when my brother was playing and he was really scared (i forced him to play in the dark!!! mwa-hahaha) and he went to turn off the playstation but instead he turned on my dreamcast and not realising he turned and said "j-j-jon? why is the game s-s-still on?" needless to say, i was laughing my head off (not literally...that would be scary)
