According to one poster (http://www.jref.com/forum/showpost.p...01&postcount=1)
there are 200,000 Japanese Muslims in Tokyo alone.

This says there are 10,000 Japanese who are Muslims in the entire country of Japan.

This article states:

It's a familiar tale for Japan 's Muslims, who number about 100,000 – more than 90 percent of whom are not Japanese.
So, it doesn't look like it's 2 million, or even 200,000, Japanese Muslims in Japan.

Japanese muslims, Japanese christains, I don't care, really. I would be very happy, and of course surprised that a Japanese would have any kind of religious belief. Since their society isn't exactly religious orientated.

In Japan the mind set (according to all the Japanese people I've known) is that you are FIRST Japanese. Your religion will come second to that. It is when western types of religious thought come in and tell their believers that the faith they follow is more important that troubles arise.

Personally I'd like people to see all people first AS people and everything else as something that is personal and should not be a consideration in how you interact with that person. Bu tthen again I also think people should be required to be held accountable for their actions and silly things like that.

Well you know Ikyoto I think that to be Japanese and to be religious (to believe) are two different things...

I'm not gonna judge someone because he doesn't believe but I'll have more affinities with a muslim than with an atheist because we have more in common. I mean, it's not a bad thing, it's normal ! Your nationality is a thing, your religion is another one (a private one).

I'm tired and I can't develop more, I'm sorry. Good evening people (yes it's 2.33 AM here)

i never knew there are lots of muslims in japan since they don't get much coverage, unlike muslims in china, but surely that's a very nice fact.

Well actually I am a muslim too and I live in the US.
But I speak some Japanese and have always found it interesting.
There are Japanese muslims out there..believe it or not. Most are haafu(mom is Japanese convert, dad is from Pakistan or Morocco, etc).
Assalamu Aleikum! So good to see muslims on these forums.

I would like to speak with Japanese muslims who live in America, Japan or maybe an arab country like Saudiyyah

Mtom, may I ask are you a practicing Muslim? Is it hard in Saudi Arabia to get videogames? Is it allowed at all?
I am a practicing Muslim but I love Japanese culture and the Japanese language. I would like to marry a Japanese convert to Islam...insha'Allah.
