I am recently knowing about Baha'i faith which started in Iran in 18th century by great religious reformer/prophet Baha'ullah. I never thought there was such another great religion which teaches universal peace, respect, compassion and unity among humankind. Its hard to believe that its leaders/believers were persecuted in muslim countries...Indeed, Baha'ullah is a great teacher in the middleast who unites the east and west.

Are there are anyone also who were interested in Bahai faith?what's is your impressions? I found that there were few thousands baha'i members in japan. Anyone members here?

I am confused !
Are you Budhist or Baha'i ?
Sometimes you Praise Budhism and sometimes you Praise baha'i !
It sounds like you attack Islam by some claims "Peace/human rights/International laws/..etc" and you posted some doubts without reply to what people explained.

It's easy to find out what baha'i faith is by reading the link below :
Baháʼí Faith - Wikipedia

Even though i think you will ignore all links like you said before that you want reply not links !
I post the link because the informations are too much.

Baha'i is some Jewish faith and Shiite,And it's very clear on the pictures in Wiki above.

P.S : are you japanese orginally ?

I am a buddhist but i am open-minded person to all other systems of thoughts and Buddhism does not deny the values or truth spoused by other religions. It has no dogmas. It is very open religion. Baha'i teachings and its ideology have great commonalities with Buddhist principles...I like the form of Sufism too as it is common and also it was influenced by Buddhism.

I do not attack Islam. The best word to say is I "doubt" islam. I am not japanese. I am pure Filipino(born Philippines) but i am related with japanese [Nichiren school]Buddhism i practice...

Bahai faith although arose from judeo-islamic culture, the teachings of Bahau'llah, founder of new-found faith, is quite different , practical and modern. I advised you to read introductory book about Bahai. Internet sources are inadequate.

But you know Sufi way is one Islamic way ! in Pakistan and Turkey & Algeria so it makes no scene !
And since you are from Philippin then you live near Philippines Muslims !
Sorry for using word ( Attack ),But i wonder why you know Baha'i more than Islam,It's weird that you ignored all good things in Islam while you talk about Baha'i witch is only faith and belives !!!

Have you read about the other sides of Islam ( Not the faith/belive ) but the social,Economy,rules,Terms...etc ?

Just try one time and read the other sides and tell me.

Quarter of the world people is not comparable to 6 million baha'i so figure out why Msulims are still following Islam unlike the other religions, for example :
Imagine Quarter of the world people dont drink alcohol !!

Sorry for the long reply but i really like to discuss the non-faith things in religions.

Thank you.^^

We'll, mainstream Islam( which majority shiite sects) branded sufism as hereticals. So, its not islamic way, the way shiites practises heavy involvement on politics/rules.

And since you are from Philippin then you live near Philippines Muslims !

I live in mindanao in which there are more muslims ethnic tribes in the south. But there were muslim-maranao tribe mostly emigrated in our city. I had a converted ex-muslim friend who became now practicing Buddhist. In fact, our meeting was the starting point of my curiosity about Islamic faith. He has old book about islam in which he no longer used and i borrowed and read it.

Baha'i is more than faith or beleifs. It is sought an individual to practice love, compassion and universal peace and unity among people from diifferent cultures/religions. To Baha'i teachings, truth is eveywhere. Hence, unity of God taught in other religions or systems of thought are one and the same. I find these teaching or faith open and non-dogmatic and tolerant towards other religions. I also find Baha\i teachings views on life and universe is in line with scientific viewpoint not with ancient parent's religion.

Islam is about faith. This faith is reflected on how people acted upon their social or daily life.ツ This is true with other religions.

Just try one time and read the other sides and tell me.

ツ What bothers me is the Islamic sharia used in saudi arabia and also other islamic countries like malaysia. People are deprived their freedom to believe and what they do not like to beleive. Apostasy is punishable by death. Is this islamic way?

Quarter of the world people is not comparable to 6 million baha'i so figure out why Msulims are still following Islam unlike the other religions,

Baha'i history is still an infant more than 100 years only compared 800 years of islam. Also, bahai followers were persecuted in Islamic countries. hence, they are still handful few but this new faith speard to more than hundred fifty countries in just a century. That is quite impressive.

for example :
Imagine Quarter of the world people dont drink alcohol !!

There is nothing wrong with taking alcohol unless u abused it. Buddhism teaches the path of moderation-- not hedonism nor extremism...This is called the Middle Way, the path taught by Gautama Buddha.

Thank you.^^

Your welcome.. :)

I came to correct only one thing :
Baha'i history is still an infant more than 100 years only compared 800 years of islam.
It's not 800 yeas,it's more than 1430 years and the date today in Islamic calendar is 1431/Safar/10 ( Safar is the second month ).You still dont know that !!

^^

Just what I was going to say.

Nichiren could you please learn to use the quote system properly instead of just bolding. Thanks

Also, talking about non-faith issues in islam whichi have read book from my friend. I have more issues regarding islamic values such as unhappy marriages and polygamy which is allowed for men in islam/sharia but not in women...just because men are working and career person and sometime outside away from their family and they are susceptible to become infidel and so Islamic(arab) Way, they allowed polygamy in certain condition just to be be legal and so there is no infedelity...i find these rediculous thing. This law is very impractical especially to other (western)cultures where women have the same rights or status with men. They work and have education as the same with men. They are no longer trapped in four walled cornered homes. The same true with women in Asian countries. what are your thoughts about this?

Second, is there a holy in war? What is islamic views and actions towards people who hates either in personal or societal level? How do we find peace in times of conflict? what are ur philosophy towards this thing as far as ur belief is concerend...

Hoping to hear from you...

Please post your doubts about Islam in the correct thread, this is for baha'i !

sorry to interfere.
so Baha'i is a sect calling themselves the group that receiving all things, for the sake of peace.
am i right.?

Nichiren, do you think Islam is a religion that will follow the desires of its followers.?
you just don't understand, and you wouldn't understand by just guessing with your own thought.
all persons other than Moslems, have the same thinking as yours.

they're talking without knowing anything
i'll tell you, if you wanna know about Islam, you can't just by guessing or even just hearing from what people said without reading guide book.

Moslem's guide book are Al-Qur'an and Al-Hadist.
that's the most important thing
well, there's no point if you just thinking what the truth really is with your random thought.
humans also have a limit.
for example, that's just like what you just did.

Bahai is not a sect of a certain religion. Just like Buddhism is not a sect of Hinduism as hindus believes. They are what they they are.

Yeah, i have been informed that to learn islam is to study their doctrines the Quran and the Hadiths(sayings and life teachings of Muhammad). I was told without the hadiths(as there were many hadiths existing which is contradicting to one another i dunno where to believe and read the real hadiths as this is the problem within the muslim curriculas) we could not understand inside the quranic text.. what i only have in my hand is the english translation of the quran and i could not correlate it the the detailed account on the life and teachings of Muhammad. After all, Muhammad left no writings at his hands but only later compiled those peices from his followers.

And islam is a religion that needs total submission/slave to a certain authority. hence what u call the arab term muslim. Much more so its social ideology that one must followe Islamic rules whether u like it or not.To me its tyrannical and form of slavery.

sorry to interfere.

like i said before, Islam isn't a religion that will follow the desires of its followers.
our God isn't Islam(the rule itself), but our God is Allah
Islam is a system that created by him.

we follow what Allah ordered to us
Al-Qur'an is his words, he ordered us via his Rosul by Al-Qur'an.
we have no right to protest against it.
if someone did, then his God isn't Allah but only his own passions.

if there's someone who think they can show us any mistake or falsehood inside Al-Qur'an
then show it to us
there're so many people who'd tried that
but no one ever succeed.

You'll know why if you learn, you'll know nothing if you just argue or protest without knowing it and prove it by yourself.

if there's someone who think they can show us any mistake or falsehood inside Al-Qur'an
then show it to us
Ask and you shall receive
Skeptic's Annotated Quran
there're so many people who'd tried that
but no one ever succeed.
.
Oh yes they have, but the faithful, as with any faith, close their eyes to this and is also why we have apologetics.

On that note please direct anymore questions on Islam to the correct thread. This one is about Ba'hais in Japan.

haha
You are so funny, even the sites you gave much more funny
are you a jew.? i believe you are
if you are, you think i don't know what you think by giving such sites

you try to fool people by giving such sites, but aren't you fooling yourself.?
you guys really know how to start something, but you don't even know how to end it
well, there's no use telling you this

okay, I will deny your words along with the site
i'll just speak about the first suroh, Al-Fatihah
you along with the site, said that there're contradiction between one verse with the others in Al-Qur'an.

you guys showing one side that Allah being kind and merciful, but not in the other side
what a stupid accusition, of course it will be confusing if you're just seeing it without understanding what's inside
you have to read fully the whole words inside Al-Qur'an to understand what're those meaning

you've just shown,
1:1, 3, 163
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
[that sentence refers to Allah]

and you showed us,
2:7
Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering.
[that sentence refers to unbelievers, those who do not want to listen to the warnings that Rosul gave to them] read 2:6

the reason why Allah is going to do that to any unbelievers, is because they have exceeded the limits that have been given by Allah
Rosul words are Allah words, so if those unbelievers don't want to hear what Rosul warned to them, their hearing, hearts, and their eyes will be fully sealed.
so they've certainly will go to hell.

there are 99 names of Allah
if you know all of its meaning, you'll be certainly understand that there are no contradictions between any of verses in Al-Qur'an.

but just like i said
there's no use telling you this if you're a jew
if you are, i believe you're truly understand the whole thing inside Al-Qur'an
but you'll keep doing things contrary to what we do.

and, we'll keep doing what we should do.

I am not a Jew (amazing how you jumped at that) I'm worse, I'm an atheist.
Secondly I have said this thread is on Bahai in Japan, so take this elsewhere. Thirdly preaching is frowned upon. And finally you get a warning for continuing on about islam when I had told members to take that to the correct thread.
If you continue offtopic in this thread you will get an infraction. STAY ON THE SUBJECT.

You have now receieved another warning for continuing to post on this thread instead of taking it to the doubts on islam. I have moved your recent post to that thread and will answer it there. If you continue to post on this thread then further action will be taken.
