Hotels in Tokyo...

I'm not familiar with Tokyo...
& I'll be there next month & over the New Year...
I'm wondering...
I stayed at "business" hotels in Osaka (like Simple Heart)...
could anyone give me some links to some small, reasonable hotels like that in Tokyo?...
or just any good hotels in Tokyo which you would recommend?
Also, if anyone has any "must see" things in Tokyo I'd be interesting in hearing about them!
Any help would be much appreciated! - ^_^
Domo!

There have been quite a few threads on the subject of travelling to Tokyo including accomodations and what to see while there. I have dug up a couple of the older ones here, maybe they will be of some use to you. I hope you enjoy your stay btw.

Well... thanks for the links....

but...
I still haven't found what I was looking for...
it's pretty easy to find hotels between 9000-12000 yen...
but pretty difficult to find hotels between 7000-8000 yen...
(a room for 2 people *with bath*)...
difficult indeed...
after days of fruitless searching in English...
("Super Hotels" were booked out...)
I had to hand the task over to my J-girlfriend...
who I'm sure will have alot more luck searching in Japanese....
she's pretty busy at the moment... but whatchya gonna do?
Thanks anyway!

There's the Kinuya Hotel down the block from Ueno Station (there are actually two in the general vicinity, one about 2500 yen cheaper than the other) where you may be able to get a double with bath at 3/4 the rate (6925) if you ask for a single and they are booked up....It happened with me a couple weeks ago anyway and is even a better possibility during the holidays. I'll hunt down my card when I have a chance. Good luck!
