Cool Still alive

Hello from Tokyo, the admin`s still alive.

I finally enjoy some sort of access to internet, I`m on a 56kb modem, struggling with a Japanese iMac (8.6, IE 5.0, aargh). I will try to skim through all support requests of the past week, but kindly ask you for more patience. Everything`s quite slow and, well, limited, lol. Anyhow, good to see that the forum is still up and running!

I would like to thank the team for their efforts and our members for their patience.

;)

Good to hear from you.

I'd think you would have gotten an i-mode phone for internet access by now.

well that may be a good thing, keep you out and enjoying japan rather than being stuck in front of the computer

Getting a keitai was the first thing I did. Nifty little thing, lightyears ahead of everything I`ve seen in Europe. However, the forum proved to be "unsurfable", lolol.

Currently, I am stuck in a crammed office, carefully moving between printer, iMac and endless rows of dusty law volumes, attempting in vain to squeeze my knees under a desktop.

Btw, does anybody know how to "copy and paste" on a Mac?

Use the Command key (the one with the apple on it) instead of the Control-key (and make sure caps-lock is off).

Learn how to use all those key-combi's on a Mac and you never want to use anything else anymore.

Yeah, still the same.
Actually, i hardly use the mouse when navigating through folders. I just use combinations of the Command / Alt and cursor keys.

It's also possible in Windows, but just not as fast as i am able to do it with a Mac.

Have fun, Thomas! ;)

Hiya Thomas... nice to see that you are still connected...

You should enjoy the Japan scenery and leave those "support requests" until you get back (that is IF you decide to come back... lol)
