how to travel to japan in a cheap travel

For most of us, there is no really cheap way to travel to Japan. Between airfare, food, & lodging it's expensive!!

I am not sure if there are any cheap flights from Spain, but you could get an EasyJet flight to London or Paris for as cheap as 30 euro, then get a flight to Tokyo from there (book on Internet before) for about 500 euro in the low season or 800 euro in summer.

... sorry I'm not from Spain, I'm from Mexico... and also sorry coz I don't know about this topic; however, I'd like to thank Maciamo for his advice since I'm also planning to travel to Japan in a future, but i don't know if there are plans for Mexico or at least the USA.

You could always go over there to teach English :P Through English teaching I've gotten free airfare, free medical, free working visa, and they found me a furnished appartment. I'll only be working about 25 hours a week too. So all in all it's a pretty good way to get over to Japan.

Difficult to know from Spain, but from England the cheapest Airlines would be Aeroflot (yikes!!), Lufthansa or KLM. If you directly phone the Airlines then I'd say Lufthansa are the best bet, though trying various agents got the cheapest price as a KLM for 383GBP from Heathrow and changing at Amsterdam.

I've flown on Aeroflot before, which was cheap and, while I got there and back with plenty of space on the plane, it was a rather basic operation. If you don't mind TVs held together with tape bouncing up and down, pilot doors banging open and shut throughout the flight and wierd gas smells described as 'oh, we always get that' by the Stewardess then thay might be a good cheap option.

I'm an English teacher here and I've worked for some of the big, bad schools like AEON and GEOS (but not NOVA).

The big companies do suck to work for, though looking at them as simply a way to get to Japan with employment, accomodation, visa etc. all arranged they aren't bad. But if this guy is from Spain and English isn't his first language they may not be an option.

I don't know who I'm going to be working for yet. I'm doing it through this college where you get a teaching certificate. Then the school, public or private, post up jobs. You look through them and apply to the one that tickle your fancy. Once accepted they get everything worked out for you. Or I could just go over there and look for work on my own.

I've heard alot of bad stuff about the JET program. I guess because most of the students get put in the public school system.. and some other rumours floating around, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yea I've heard alot of bad things about the big companys also. Apparen't JET is pretty horrible too.

It is possible to travel cheaply in Japan. It's not as cheap as other places in Asia, but there are many options for the budget traveler. Unlike many places in Asia, Japan has an extensive system of Youth Hosels, which make things easy, coming to roughly $30/night. There are capsule hotels in Tokyo for about the same price that offer a unique experience. The Japan rail pass is a really great way to get around, or, if you're really watching your money, you can travel slowly on local trains. Tokyo and the big cities, of course, are the most expensive places, so only stay there for a few days. The rest of Japan has a lot to offer and is much cheaper.

I'm currently researching cheap travel in Japan, so if anyone has any more info, I'd like to hear it.

I'm new to this board and am a former employee of Nova. If you'd like to know about that company I'll give you some honest info. Nova wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. The large amount of disposable income it gave me allowed me to have a very good time while I was in Japan.
