Accidents that taste GREAT!!!

For example, I was making curry awhile ago and missunderstood the Kanji 玉子 for たまご(卵). So I put four eggs into the curry and continued cooking. Honestly, I thought it was a wonderful idea for curry... until a couple of my Japanese friends came into the kitchen and started freaking out!

But after eating it, everyone agreed that it was delicious.

Does anyone else have some accidental recipes that taste great?

I am not sure what is the difference. Is the former cooked and the latter raw ?

Hmmm... I'm not quite certain.

Alls I know is that my friends made fun of me about it.
I'm going to go to the store later tonight.
It was a pack of Golden Curry cubes, I'll double check it.

Hehehe ascate...

Anyway, about the curry. I know that a lot of people like to put raw egg on top of their curry rice before they eat it. Never actually read the Golden Curry package, though. I just kind of know how to do it.

It's yet another Kansai thing, I guess...

raw egg and curry is yum!! Is that a Kansai thing? makes sense, since my kansai hubby introduced me to it. One friend introduced me to Natto and curry and it's actually not too bad!

one more thing I don't like about cockroaches - it means I have to do the dinner dishes (we eat very late) before bed. In NZ I would leave them until the morning if I was too tired

Too true, I love cooking but I'm not so keen on the cleaning part. I used to live in a house share and I'd all ways end up having to clean up every one else's mess before I could cook. And they had the habit of burning their food to the bottom of the pan.

God that pissed me off. It could take me as long as an hour to get the kitchen just in a usable state.

I don't see any difference there... both read "tamago" and mean "egg", the first (玉子) being composed of the kanji for "ball" and "child", the second (たまご/卵) having a kanji of its own for it. I think the first is the older version while the second is the more recent version.

btw - didn't it have English instructions on it where you could check back? Until now, all stuff I got a the Asia shop also had at least English instructions on it (although sometimes, it was more of an Engrish, but still understandable).

Chalk up another one for someone who really hates cleaning afterwards as well

Do intentional "accidents" also count? i.e., you intentionally use stuff for something it wasn't intended for?
I often use instant miso soup to cook all sorts of stuff in where you're supposed to just use water instead (ramen, non-japanese noodles, meat, breaad dumplings... you name it).
美味しい!

Cleaning is not so bad! As I enjoy the cooking part... But if I had a wife or significant other that spent time cooking me meals, I would give the satisfaction to them as me showing I am thankful by cleaning the kitchen for them.

So if any of you would like to come cook for me, I promise I'll clean
