Japanese Neo-Soul music

is there any Neo Soul music from Japan?

Neo Soul is like a mix of R&B,jazz, and some hip hop beats..for example,D'Angelo,Maxwell,Erykah Badu...

If you believe Tofu Records, there definitely is...

Tofu recently released a J-Compilation in the USA titled "neo-soul", so the artists featured there might be a good place to start. This compilation includes the following artists:

Toshinobu Kubota
Sowelu
Amon
Chemistry
Chrystal Kay
Soulhead
Miss Monday
Goku
Michico
Rhymester
Soul'd Out
Loop Junktion
Ken Hirai

Defnintely some good artists here, even if they might not qualify as "soul" or "neo-soul"...

I've heard this album, most of the stuffs in the album don't qualify as 'soul' or 'neo soul'
but there are few good songs in there

there is this group named Deeper Than Underground
they are quite good, but they lack of originality, they try to sound like D'Angelo

Look what I found!!!

This new Artist has really been getting alot of attention in JAPAN, Europe and the States. His name is daRome Bentley. I listened to the album on his site and was blown away how every song was excellent. That is rare. I bought his cd online! He also has ringtones of his music too for .99cents. I got one of the song "BACK WHEN". I really like this Artist!

I am passing this one onto everyone!

His official site is

www.daromebentley.com

You can buy his music there or just about any online music site.
It is the cheapest at CDBABY.COM!!!

ALSO CHECK OUT HIS RINGTONES TOO!!! HOT!

YOU GOTTA PICK THIS ONE UP!!
