I must say that I'm not too sure about this. A lot of it seems broken and there isn't much of a reference point, so do what you will with this (unless someone more knowledgeable than me comes along and sets it straight). Also, I'm not completely sure about that last line. I was thinking that maybe it meant "can you pay me..." but I figured that it means "can I pay..." because ni marks the subject when the verb is dekiru, and if it was saying "can you pay me..." I think a giving verb would have been used (i.e. watashi ni 15,500en haratte moraemasu ka or something).

All looks good except for the last one.
That says "Watashi NI haraemasuka?" Can you pay ME 15,00 Yen? But it does look weird. It should've said something like "Watashi ni haratte itadakemasuka?" can I pay 15,500 yen? as if asking for permission to pay is 私 ga 15500円払tte iideすか? |

I doubt that my Chinese is better than yours. What I meant by getting a hold of them is that there aren't very many and they don't always come into this forum.

It's late at night here....so not sure if this is technically accurate or not, but hopefully understandable enough to be corrected.

I guess that's alright, but you might want to run it by someone else first, or wait for a Japanese person to look over it. [Edit]: Heh, mine and Elizabeth's are pretty different. I can't wait for someone to clear this one up.

I just tried it for my own benefit. I'm really not sure at all it's how you'd speak in this situation. I suppose it depends on how much of a reasonable price you're assuming this to be. I wouldn't be so deferential myself unless I was being offered a fabulous bargain.

what does it mean? is the person angry or provoked? PLease let me know. |
