Tokyo Tower

Running off memory here but here's some interesting facts.

333 meters high.
Built about 49 years ago.
Lights were added 14 years ago
Electricty Bill for the lights runs about $200 a day for a total of about $6,000 a month.

Spring/Summer the lights are a silvery color, while in Fall and Winter the lights are a orangey color.

Godzilla chopped the tower in two halves, forgot which movie it was. When I visited he tower in 1998 it had already been repaired (see my pic in the gallery).

Gamera blasted it in 1995 in Gamera, Guardian of the Universe and then Godzilla did the same in Godzilla, Mothra, Mechagodzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. in 2003.

1995,"Guardian of the Universe"
Tokyo Tower was destroyed and became a nest of Gyaos.
Destroyed Tokyo Tower lighted up by the setting sun,
It is an excellent scene.

I agree. It was also knocked over and where Mothra built her cocoon in the original Mothra in 1960. King Kong also battled Mechani-Kong in King Kong Escapes on Tokyo Tower in 1968. The new one holds interesting possibilities in future kaiju battles.
