Hello. This is my first time to use this site. For my personal interest and for my own research study, I would like to know foreigner's (especially exchange students') needs in Japan. Please tell me any difficulties, needs, things to make you feel more comfortable along living in Japan. (daily life base)

Needs, as in things that aren't met? I can't fully understand. Generally speaking, needs here are the same back home, with the addition of language support.

I need (want?) a proper meal every now and then. Does that count? I have been too busy (and lazy) to make my own meals lately and it isn't very healthy when I eat out.

Anyways, as Glenski has pointed out, I guess needs are just quite the same as they were.

This topic kinda makes me wonder about what really I need, that is not merely a want...

I guess I just need to go home soon. And I guess its just one of them days I feel a little homesick.

A saying has it:

"80% of Japanese are Buddhists, 80% are Shinto and 80% are not associated with any religion".
Want to study Buddhism?
You may consider going to Thai, they are for Buddhism what Iran is for Islam.
