Can somebody retype the kanji on this image for me? I can hardly read the first one. (This is the official pedigree name of a purebred dog, hence the relative weirdness of it; it was given a reading of "Puna", which is a Hawaiian word).
○瑚号 ----?????
Thanks.

It probably does! Thanks very much for the helpLooks like 珊瑚 (sango)
Does "Puna" mean "coral"?
The lady who named this dog such a strange name is Japanese, living in Colorado, and has a thing for Hawaii. She seems to have a large store of Hawaiian words that all sound fairly similar to name her dogs with - Puna, Kona, Leni, Lani, Kepano etc etc. And she gives them all obscure or odd Kanji readings, sometimes using totally archaic decorative Kanji, which makes my research into the history of this particular breed of dog and the families/bloodlines very tricky. Maybe "Puna" has more than one meaning in the Hawaiian language, who knows. For my purposes, all I need is the Kanji! lolThe kanji is exactly 珊瑚号, as Mike-san wrote, but google search results say "puna" means "a spring (of water)" in Hawaiian.
珊瑚号 is not a strange name at all. It's more likely a traditional naming pattern. 珊瑚 is not archaic at all, either. Are those Japanese names really the translation of the Hawaiian names? Thanks again.
Don't you know what the meaning of the verb いる is?Hello, the text is:
【美琴】 やったね、タケル!
【武】 ああ。みんなのおかげだ
【美琴】 そうだね! みんながいて、タケルがいたからだよ!
And i need help with last sentence:
Some people told this will be that:
That's right! Thank you everyone, including you, Takeru!
But i am hugely uncertain about it.
Role of いて and いたからだよ in this sentence really confuse me.
I khow, just not certan i am making valid conclusion:Don't you know what the meaning of the verb いる is?
Just trying consider comtext - they faild this evaluation last time they tried to accomplish, and him joining the squad a long after they fist attempt.タケルがいた doesn't mean "with us" by itself.
You mean いた right? The -te form doesn't have any tense. The tense is provided by the verb at the end of the sentence, thus, いて is past there.
Then, you don't need to translate みんながいて.Just trying consider comtext
No. Read my explanation more carefully. I pointed out that みんながいて is past since the main clause タケルがいたから is past. If it's みんながいて、タケルがいるから, みんながいて is the present tense. You mean いた right?
