Ikuta Ryokuchi Rose Garden

Ikuta Rose Garden is part of Ikuta Ryokuchi Park (生田緑地) in Tama Ward, Kawasaki. Although we live in its immediate vicinity we have never managed to visit, as the garden is open to public only twice a year: in mid-May and between mid-October and early November for just a few days. Therefore, we were quite excited to find it open last weekend while walking the dog.

Unfortunately, we didn't bring the camera, so the images below were taken on an iPhone 7.

Pets are not allowed, but you can bring your dog if you carry it around (which our furball enjoyed very much):

Admission: free, but you can leave a donation at the entrance

Access:
  • Odakyu Line: a 20-minute walk from Mukogaoka Yuen Station
  • By bus: from the south exit of Mukogaoka Yuen Station about 5 minutes for Kajigaya Station, Ida Eigyosho or others (get off at the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum)
  • JR Nambu Line: a 23-minute walk from Shukugawara Station
  • Tokyu Denentoshi Line: about 20 minutes on bus from Kajigaya Station to Mukogaoka Yuen (get off at the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum)
