J. F. Oberlin University (桜美林大学) is a private university located in Machida, Tokyo. Founded in 1946 by Yasuzo Shimizu, its name is derived from that of pastor and philanthropist J. F. Oberlin and shows the university's historical ties with Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, which the university's founder attended. It is comprised of a College of Arts and Sciences and four professional colleges, as well as a graduate division.
