Do they even sell Shinto music in anime form that you can buy?
Much like Christians make Christian praise and worship cds?

I know Musuhi no Toki by Haruka Tomatsu is supposed be Shinto music, but that's music for an anime soundtrack. Can't you just get it on it's own without any Soundtrack connections?

If not, what is the closest thing I could get?

:joyful:Hi, It's been awhile but I just came across this post. Shinto music doesn't play the same role as Christian music does at Christmas. You can still hear Shinto music at shrines at New Year's and at weddings, but gagaku has a very long drawn out tone to it, not exactly making people move. The flutes they use are similar to the shakuhachi Japanese bamboo flute that I play. On my Cd "Mahoroba" (found on my website at Grand Island Serene Gardens) I have recorded 2 pieces in particular that are Shinto and gagaku influenced. Shinto music mite come up pretty thin, but maybe do a search for gagaku music instead. However, more people are interested in the shakuhachi, which is also related to spirituality.
