Yes, it's the first two lines of a classical Chinese poem 白雁 White Wild Goose composed by a poet 謝宗可 in the Yuan dynasty. Judging from characters used there, it's most likely made in China probably in 2006 or maybe 1946.

翅老西風点綴瑕
秋江難認宿蘆花
丙戌年

Hi Toritoribe - sorry to bother you again - are you able to provide a translation... I have scanned the internet but cannot find the poem (not being able to read Chinese), I can't even find the poet as any translation tool seems inaccurate. Any help appreciated. Many thanks. Joe.
