I am wanting to know how to say "X keeps his station," "X keeps his watch," "X keeps his post," or something along those lines. If X is "Marion", this is the best translation I could come up with:

マリオン は 彼 の 駅 を 保持

Do you have a better idea of how to translate this idiom?

地位を保つ is the idiom you are looking for.

Does 地位 refer to a social position? The OP is asking about a position in the sense of 部署, such as in the military.

I would have said 部署に就いている, or something along those lines. (マリオン は部署に就いている。)

Being ex-Navy, when I hear of "station keeping" I take it as a ship maintaining a designated bearing and range from a certain from a certain designated ship.

I wouldn't think of watch keeping, station keeping, or post keeping being the same thing at all to begin with.

Ah, so it could be something to do with military things? I, too, thought why the OP listed "keep one's watch". @ The OP, what is the context?
