Togyokusen is a natural spring. During the construction of Kairakuen, Tokugawa Nariaki took advantage of the elevated landscape to create a watercatch and installed a spring. It is said that the water is a remedy for bad eyesight. It was also used for tea ceremonies at the Kobuntei.
