I know these are questions that can be found by simply asking the question in google - but for the sake of conversation ....

1. Does it snow in Japan?
2. How many seasons do they have?
3. How cold does it get? If I were to vacation there in December, what kind of jacket should I pack?
4. Best time of the year to visit Nagoya?

Think of Japan being similar in climate to the eastern seaboard of the United States. In Maine it snows a lot. In Florida, not so much.
So, yes, it snows. Some places more than others. Not much in Tokyo. Lots in the north and mountains.
As for the temperature in December it depends when you are. For Tokyo, I'd pack one of those squishable down jackets.
Generally spring or fall are best for Nagoya and most of the country. Summer is hot and muggy. Winter is chilly and a bit drab.

Are you planning to visit? Why do you mention Nagoya specifically?

1. Depends on where you go.
2. four, but how distinct and long they are depends on where you go.
3. Depends on where you go.
4. Depends on what you want to see and do.

1: yes
2: Five (I include rainy season - some of my friends in Kyoto also count this separately).
3: Cold enough to snow (some places I go -15C, so around 0f).
4: July for he sumo (I get to go again this year), but I also like autumn as Meiji Mura is very good for autumn colours.
